BROOKLYN BANKS, NYC
THE EDITION OF BROOKLYN BANKS, NYC — 1989
Brooklyn Banks is traditionally where different street cultures melt together in New York City, such as break dance, graffiti, HIp-hop… In terms of fashion, those break dancers, graffiti artists or hip-hoppers prefer wearing baggy pants.
And in 1989, a renowned sci-fi movie "Back to the Future" was released on movie theaters and became a cult. To our surprise, this film set a trend “futurism” , inspired plenty of musicians and graffiti artists as well as turned their culture work into a futuristic touch. As a result, stripes on the sole resonate a retro-futurism in 1989. It looks like a sock without laces.
